50p building
Its Mr Tobyboo's birthday next month and what with being so poor and all I decided to make him his very own Tobyboo - well it's his second because he's got a boo-bot t shirt. I've been going on for ages that I'd try and do an embroidery of this 70's building that's right in the centre of Croydon (right by where we live....oh the joy!) The NLA tower, 50p buliding, No. 1 Croydon - call it what you like, this is what it looks like.... (well on a t shirt that is)
Cooo - we used to live in Croydon many moons ago, we might be neighbours across the space/time continuum somehow. Happy birthday MrTobyboo :-)

ReplyDeleteMy dad used to work in that tower in the early 80s! He always called it the threepenny bit tower. Cringey memories of family office Christmas parties!
